Hey Stephanie…I have a "Guy" story, you may need to grab a kleenex :-)  I took him to Morrow Mountain after church (just the two of us) for a afternoon ride…while I was saddling up, I noticed some folks coming out of the hiking trail but I wasn’t really paying attention, until they got closer to me…then I heard a conversation between a little boy and his mother.  The child wanted his mom to ask if he could walk over to where Guy and I were.  About that time, I told his mom that I was certain Guy would love the extra attention.  The child was trembling but came close to Guy.  His mom reached up to rub Guy and then reached in my trailer to get a brush.  She brushed Guy a couple moments then placed the brush in her son’s hand ( his name is Alan). He began to brush the horse and slowly became more comfortable.  I told his mom that if she felt comfortable, i would lead Alan around while he sat on Guy…He told me he wanted to but he was
 afraid, so I told him to watch me ride, then he could decide if he wanted to.  Although he was hesitant, he got in the saddle with much guidance from me and his mother…His mother said thank you..thank you.  I led the little boy around on Guy until I was dizzy…I told him I must like him pretty good because he is the only one who has ridden Guy besides me.  Guy was AWESOME with that little boy.  When he got off, his mom looked at me and said, is it my turn?  She rode him around for a few minutes and fell in love just like I did!!  The little boy asked for my phone number and he and his mom want to meet me for a ride soon…The little boy is blind

This was Chocolate Venture with one of his mares and her foal.

This is a gorgeous bay two year old filly. She’s one of the prettiest in the field. She is by a wonderful broodmare named VBF’s Iron Maiden. Her sire is Homegrown. This little girl has a great attitude and is going to finish out at around 15 hands. She is well-trained to the obstacle course, as you can see. We have proven over the years that if a horse is well-broken to an obstacle course then they are much better learners once they are put under saddle. Price: $2,500

 

This sorrel mare is a Tennessee Walker named Boss Lady. We have had her for several years and she has always made wonderful babies for us. She is a wonderful milker and always gets in foal. She was ridden some when she was younger, and with a little bit of work I think she would make a great riding horse. She is ten years old.

Mocha is a gorgeous black mare. She has a nice bloodline. She is around 15 hands and has a wonderful disposition. She had six months of professional training and was headed for blues at the UMH World Show in the Classic Division in 2008, but then she suprised us by having a baby. The people we bought her from did not tell us that she had been bred once. She had a gorgeous black filly. Mocha is currently in foal to the chocolate stallion in this picture, Sweet Choco.
